The reinforced steel molded in hubs are coated with a proprietary material that forms a chemical bond with the rubber that prevents separation. Most competitors press in the hub after the rubber is molded which will over time, always lead to failure. This is accomplished by molding with a harder rubber near the core, which prevents the hub from separating and plate wobble over time, and a softer rubber on the outside to act as a buffer deadening the blow and sound from the plate when dropped. Besides getting true color that won’t fade or discolor over time, this means our colored bumper plates are also safe for your baby’s skin and yours.
